Wekiwa Springs State Park is located just Northwest of Orlando. It is a very nice park. The sites have a good separation and ours was well groomed when we arrived. We parked close to the left side, and once we extended our slide, the dinette window was less than a foot from the tree branches beside us. Our first morning, a small bird perched inches from the window, and Spike was enamored with this new experience. We hung our small bird feeder there and it continued to entertain Spike. Unfortunately our stay here was shortened as we scheduled some service appointments while we were in this area. While traveling here, I detected the odor of "Hot Oil" a couple of times at stoplights, and when we got here and I checked our wheels and tires, the front right was hot. There is a Cummins Coach Care facility in Orlando, so I scheduled to have them check out this problem. Our insurance company scheduled us an appointment with a local RV shop to have the refrigerator checked out. We pulled out early Wednesday morning to go there. They checked it out and diagnosed that the control board was bad. They would have to order one, and should have by the next day. I asked if he had checked the heating element, and he said that he had. I was glad that it was only the board. We decided not to go back to Wekiwa for our last night there, but headed to the Cummins courtesy campsites, so they could get us in early the next morning. |
