This was our first time at Salt Springs. The facilities are very good. We had 50 amp, water and sewer. This is the first (and will be our only) time to have sewer hookup at our site. We won't have to be so frugal with our water usage here. The sites are roomy and there is a large buffer between rows. The downside to this location is that Cell Service is almost non-existent, which also means NO Internet Access. I believe that if we had an external antenna and booster amp, that we would be able to have service here. We can make calls if we sit on the edge of the driver's seat and hold our left ear with our right hand, but we will occasionally miss a few words. The springs here are closed while they are doing some maintenance and renovations, but they have given us a pass to use at Silver Glen Springs, which is about 10 miles south of here. While we were here, the Space Shuttle was scheduled for a Launch, so we traveled to Titusville (twice), which is about 200 miles round trip. The first trip, we had dinner with Rick and Becky, the second trip we scored a Launch. See Space Shuttle Launch for details and pictures of the Launch. |
