On The Home Front
We are
not yet full timers so we do spent some time at home. Dental
appointments, doctor appointments, ya’ll know the drill. But there were
some interesting things we got to do while we were at home.

One
was by invitation only, for which Bob got the privilege as he had been
in the Navy and he had the interest.
Don
is a good friend and had an extra
ticket to the
commissioning of the USS North Carolina, SSN 777, the newest nuclear
submarine in the US Navy Fleet.
Bob
and Don managed to snag front row seats to this shin-dig.
I
got to stay home
and watch it live on
television in the comfort of my Lazy-Boy. (We may be the weaker sex,
but we are definitely the smarter sex.) |

The 2008
North Carolina Quilt Symposium was held this year at UNCW. Now this is
an event I got to enjoy by myself. I was able to linger, dawdle, dally,
tarry, as much as I liked without having to worry about if another
person was bored or not. I got to drool over some of the most beautiful
quilts I have ever seen. Picked up some more fabric. What can I say…I
needed more fabric for my stach.
